Gary was born in KZN and came to Cape Town to study @ UCT in the early 90s. As a university student he heard the gospel via the ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ and committed his life to serving Jesus. His greatest joy and purpose since has been living, sharing and teaching the gospel of Christ.

He completed his BTh & Licentiate in Theology at George Whitefield College in 2001, and has served in youth ministry for almost 20 years at three REACH-SA churches, before serving as rector of two churches on the Cape Flats. He also served as Cape Area Bishop for REACH-SA for 8 years, and formally started as Rector of Christ Church Paarl in April 2023.

He is married to Velma, and they have 2 adult children, Charis & Joshua. His secret passions are test cricket and tripe curry. Gary loves a good game of golf, catan, foosball, and almost any game he can beat you at!
