For all thsoe who have taken Christmas boxes for the ministry in Simondium, the time to return them has arrived! Please could you complete the filling of your boxes and return them to the church as soon as possible! Thank you to all who are blessing a child this Christmas!
Desmond Tutu High school clothing bank
desmond Mpilo High school is situated in Mbekweni and many of the students live in poverty. When a disater strikes, such as the many fires that have broken out, students are often left with nothing. Russle Van Sitters, a teacher at the school has started a wnderful project to assist these stundents in their time of need. The clothing bank project collects items of clothing to distribute when necessary. Please could you assist us in collecting all your teenagers spare and unused clothes and bring them to the church for this project. This is a wonderful way to assit where we can as a church. Sunday school Christmas evening service
It’s almost that time of the year again! Invite all your family and friends for our annual Sunday school Christmas evening service to be held at church on Sunday 4th December. This year we will be presenting a more traditional carol service. Our children and teenagers will be reading from Scripture and we will have a multi generational worship team! The evening will be a bring and share, so we ask each family to bring a plate or two of eats and their own drinks. There is no cost involved. Don’t miss out on a great evening of fellowhip!
Thanksgiving Dinner
Our annual dinner will be taking place on Friday evening 4th November at the church. There will be great food, warm fellowship and lots of kiddies activities. Join us as we celebrate God’s goodness in our lives and in our church. Cost is R70 per adult and R35 for children under 12, children under 6 yrs are free. Please book by contacting the office or putting your name on the booking list at the church info desk.
Young Adults home cell
Please note we will be moving our young adults home cell from Wellington to Paarl just after the October school holidays. If you are betwee the ages of 18 and 30 please feel free to join this home cell which will be starting at the church on Wednesday night 12th October at 7pm.
Welcome to Brian, Phil and Lauren
Brian Mcmillian has joined us at the church as a full time intern. Over the next year Brian will be assisting us and gaining experience in full time ministry. Philip and Lauren have joined us as part of the youth leadership team. They are actively involved in Friday night youth and Sunday teen church. We really praise God for His goodness and for raising up young adults that are passionate about Him and serving in the church.
